Weekly Up-date

Aubrey started rice cereal! What a champ she is, I love that her mouth opens and her little fingers guide the spoon of white ricey paste to her mouth. She then furrows her brow and gets a look of…”What is that?” before pushing the cereal back out with her tongue. She’s getting it though and hopefully will have it down by mid-August. Last night she slept 8 hours straight! 

Here’s a little bit of Owen this week, I was busy changing Aubrey and getting her squared away when I noticed Owen opened my wallet and had its contents scattered across the floor. A few minutes later Owen came into his room as I was just about to pick Aubrey up from his bed. He tried climbing up on the bed, tucked his head down, which then tipped his hat off. Inside his hat was a one dollar bill, and ALL my credit cards. Ummm, something tells me he’s on to something.  Also, Owen helped me cook dinner, as usual, and as I was distracted, he dumped an entire container of kocher salt on our COSTCO package of cherry tomatoes. I gave those a good rinse before eating them. J

We’re staying cool in our little house now that the summer heat is in full swing. Most days we play cars, watch a little Whinney the Pooh, eat Otter Pops, try to get wet with the sprinklers and wait for Hyrum to come home in the evening. Tonight we blew up the air mattress, watched Owen run and dive on it, and then ate graham crackers and milk as a family while reading bedtime stories. Life is pretty great.
