I finally found our camera charger!!!! Hence the very long hiatus from posting. We're now back on track and camera happy.
To up-date, Christmas was a blast the entire family came to Melba including our family out-of-towners from Virginia and Alabama. The gals had a day out to see the Rockettes a few days before Christmas! What a treat, I think my new years goal will be to try and lift my leg as high as they can...whew...but kicking with high heels might have to be a 2012 goal.
Christmas Eve was a hoot filled with a great rendition of the Nativity...we had a sleeping Owen for the baby Jesus, and a crying Dane with a super cape for a shephered. The angel, Nora, was adorable, and Mary was played perfectly by Maddie. These kids are just so cute. It only lasted about 5 minutes, but we had a great time. Then it was the traditional family Christmas band. Each member of the family played a musical insturment. Surprisingly you could actually recognize the song they were playing which is really saying something as each of these band members plays their instrument once a year at Christmas.
Christmas morning we headed up to Nana and Papa's about 7am where everyone was gathered. The grandkids went nuts with their presents, and we went nuts over the traditional cinimon rolls. Way to go Jane! We lounged around all day and finished the night off with prim rib, twice baked potatoes, homemade rolls, and bowtie pasta salad.
What a great holiday with the family!
(Pictures will be up-loaded soon)
