Oregon's Free Food.....
Yahoo, blackberries are in season! We ventured out on Saturday to Minto Brown Park for a little blackberry picking. I love that within an hour's time one can easily pick about $40 worth of fine berries, but......FOR FREE (when reading this, try saying "for free" like Adam Sandler on Bedtime Stories, trust me it makes everything sound so much better).

Mmmmm...blackberries on wheat chexs! Try it! I grew my own blackberry bush this spring...we'll see if it survives. It's lookin' a little scary. My raspberry bushes look great though!
I remember this about our trip to Oregon! We had blackberries with pretty much every meal, and it was heavenly! Hard to believe that they're pretty much considered a weed. Wish I had weeds like that!
