Here's the trailhead to Cabot and Carl Lake. It started out warm, sunny and down right pleasant. the first lake we came to was Cabot Lake, it was small and very pretty. We saw some frogs there. I think Allie dropped one on it's head- poor guy.
The hiking crew was Allie and I with Travis and Julie, Travis and I were roomates at Ricks.
There's a picture of base camp just off the shores of Carl Lake. I did catch a couple of nice Brook Trout. (I didn't have the camera so you'll have to take my word for it.)
What started out sunny and pleasant turned out to be snowy and miserable as far as weather went. As you can see, with the snow in the background, we were still happy dispite the CR@PY weather.
We also visited Wizard Falls in the Metolius River. The river split down the middle and it produced a brilliant blue from the deep, airated water. simply gorgeous.
And finally we did not see Bigfoot but we did see some baby crack and that pretty much made the trip complete.
