Strip club, soap, and 49 cent tacos!

Okay, so I just got done e-mailing a good friend of mine to convince her to come visit Oregon. I couldn't help but laugh out loud as I thought of where Hyrum and I live. We are nestled just a few blocks East from a local strip club which sells 49 cent tacos, is currently hiriing, and sells customes. Not to mention has dance lessons. WHAT?!! My gosh. Oh, and then Hyrum and I were coming back from a dinner date and low and behold a huge billboard pops up promoting another strip club named Jiggles. Hyrum promptly added as we drove by, "Does that mean they're overweight?" AHHH I died laughing. Really though, Salem is quite the place. I've already had so much fun visiting the Amish Furniture Shop, the handmade soap shop--I think the peppermint/chocolate soap was my FAVORITE! I'm definatly heading back there for a few bars. The May Lou Zeek Gallery is a must for anyone wanting funky colorful arts & crafts type artwork, and River Front Park. LOVE THIS PLACE! There's a ferry that strolls up and down the river, a carosel, and an endless supply of walkways, grassy hills to lay on and read a good book. I miss home, but Salem does have its charms!
